beaton regrets to announce that we have cancelled the gala dinner for the Client Choice Awards on 19th March and postponed the Clients and Firms conference on 20th March 2020.
This decision was made at 5pm on Wednesday 26th February in light of developments in the spread of Coronavirus and continuing uncertainty about if or when it will be declared a pandemic. We believe it is not responsible to move forward with these events.
All firms and individuals involved in these events have already been advised by email and/or telephone. We regret the disappointment and any inconvenience caused.
Those who have already booked tickets will be refunded in full in coming days.
At the time of writing this post we are pleased to report that beaton has received overwhelming endorsement of and support for our decision and the new arrangements.
Today, March 16th in consultation with NAB, our principal partner, in light of the worsening COVID-19 situation, the previously advised presentation ceremonies of certificates and trophies will NOT be held in Melbourne (22 April), Canberra (29 April), Auckland (6 May), Perth (6 May), Adelaide (13 May), Sydney (19 May) and Brisbane (20 May).
Together with NAB and BNZ in New Zealand these will be held on dates to be advised. Participation in these future seminars will continue to be free to all and by invitation only.
Why are taking precautionary actions
We are taking these actions to be good global citizens by doing what we can to reduce COVID-19 risk and help prevent spread.
